History

I began making baby name blocks in 2011 as a hobby; it was a fun way to be creative.  I began giving them as gifts, and they were so well received I decided to make this a little bit more than a hobby.  In 2020, I sold my 8000 thousandth (yes, 8,000) order!!!  The best part in this venture is being creative.  I work on several orders each day and always make time to discuss and create new and custom sets for customers.

The Process for Blocks

Wooden name blocks are hand cut and available in 3 different cube sizes.  1.5" and 2" cubes are cut from maple and 2.5" cubes are cut from poplar.  In working with wood there will always be some natural imperfections.  I do my best to buff out and minimize the obvious ones so that means each block is unique and perfect in it's own way.  Blocks are rough sanded and hand painted using VOC-Free latex paint (they are not "vintage" painted or "shabby chic").  After painting I buff sand the blocks before I cut the paper, borders, letters and images and decoupage them to the blocks.  The final process is to spray the blocks with a UV resistant clear coat to protect from fading.

Each set is hand made by me and can be adapted and changed to your specific requirements.  Send me an email and I'd be happy to discuss how to make that happen.  You will always receive a return email back the same day.

Please remember these blocks are for Decoration Only and are NOT toys.

Time to Create Blocks

After your order is placed, it typically takes 5-7 days to create your set from start to finish.  I deliver daily to the local US Post Office in Petaluma, CA where they are promptly shipped.  I ship USPS first class or USPS priority depending on the weight of the order.

Refunds/Damaged Blocks

Upon receipt of the product there will be no refunds.  Each order is created specifically and uniquely for you; I do not carry an inventory of names, letters, blocks.  If a block or set is damaged in the shipping process please email me with pictures.  I will promptly work on a resolution and creating a replacement.  Damaged orders are extremely rare!

Shipping Blocks

I ship all sets via US Postal Service from Petaluma, California.  Depending on the size and weight of the set they will be shipped either First Class or Priority Mail.  In my experience, orders inside the contiguous 48 United States are delivered in 2-5 days.  Shipping has many intricate parts and elements that are outside my control.  As a result I am unable to and do not guarantee delivery 100% by a specific date.  I do everything within my realm of control to insure that orders have time to be created and shipped within specified time frame parameters.
